Note: 501(c)(4) organizations must have already submitted their application for nonprofit status.

How do we determine whether an organization is liberal or progressive?

We make the determination of which organizations we will work with at our sole discretion, based on whether their values and activities are aligned with the liberal/progressive values of (among others):

  • Inclusion

  • Opportunity

  • Equality

  • Fairness

Organizations don’t have to be partisan to qualify as promoting liberal/progressive values in their activities; there are many issues that are (or used to be) nonpartisan, like voting rights/ballot access and campaign finance reform, that qualify as liberal/progressive because they are aligned with liberal values.

We carefully research every organization that wants to use our jewelry to fundraise, to make sure we (and our liberal/progressive customers) can feel good about helping them fund their activities.

Affiliate Program

The LeftWing-Bling Affiliate Program gives liberal and progressive nonprofit organizations a way to raise funds to support their activities with NO up-front cost and NO order fulfillment, customer service or administrative work needed.

Just sell our jewelry using your unique Affiliate link and earn 15% commission on every sale!

How It Works

  • Affiliates receive a custom link they can share on their own website, in email, in social media or in online advertising. They also can access custom graphics to share along with their Affiliate link.
  • When someone clicks an Affiliate’s link, a cookie is placed on their computer. If they return to our site and make a jewelry purchase within 45 days, the Affiliate gets credit for the sale and earns a commission.
  • Commissions on sales an Affiliate generates are not eligible for payout until 45 days after the date of purchase, to allow for processing of merchandise returns. (No commissions are paid on returned orders.)
  • Commission payouts are processed in the first week of each month via Paypal. Affiliate commissions are paid on the first commission payout processing date after the commission becomes eligible for payout. Example: A customer clicks an Affiliate’s link and makes a purchase on January 1st. The commission becomes eligible for payout on February 15th. The commission will be paid in the first week of March.

Affiliate Program FAQ

How much does it cost to be an Affiliate?

Nothing– it’s 100% FREE to become an Affiliate. There is no up-front cost to you, which is part of the reason it is such a great option!

What is the commission rate paid to Affiliates?

We pay 15% of the merchandise total (excluding tax and shipping) on all jewelry orders placed using your Affiliate link.

Can our organization earn commission on jewelry we buy?

Absolutely! You will earn commission on every order placed using your Affiliate link, even if it’s for you! Just keep in mind if you are planning to buy jewelry and sell it yourself that you are not permitted to sell it for a price that is lower than ours, and you will be responsible for collecting and paying any taxes on any sales you make.

If you buy in bulk, you can earn even more (18% vs. 15%)– see Bulk Orders for more information on buying in bulk.

Is there a limit to how much commission I can earn?

No, when it comes to commissions earned, the sky’s the limit! As long as the customer clicked your link, purchased jewelry within 45 days and keeps their order, you will receive the commission.

Do I need to generate a certain number of sales to remain active in the Affiliate Program?

No, we do not require a minimum number of sales for you to remain an active Affiliate. We may contact you periodically, though, to find out what you need from us to help you succeed, and to confirm that you want to remain an Affiliate.

How does the Affiliate link work?

When someone clicks an Affiliate link, a cookie is placed on their computer in their web browser files with the referring Affiliate’s information. If they return to the site within 45 days and make a jewelry purchase, the software on our site will read the cookie, credit the referral to the Affiliate and award the commission.

There are a few circumstances under which an Affiliate might not be credited for a sale to someone who clicked their link. These are common to all cookie-based Affiliate programs:

  • If a customer’s browser privacy settings do not accept cookies, there is no cookie placed to track the Affiliate referral.
  • If the customer clears their browser cookies before returning to the site and making a purchase, there is no cookie to track the Affiliate referral.
  • If the customer uses a different device or browser than the one they were using when they clicked the Affiliate link, there is no cookie to track the Affiliate referral.
  • If the customer does not return to the site after completing their purchase on Paypal, the completion of the purchase does not register and no commission is awarded. Buyers who use a Paypal account for their purchase are automatically returned to the site within 10 seconds after their purchase is completed, where they will see a Thank You page on our site that confirms their purchase is complete. Buyers who pay using a debit or credit card to complete their purchase have to click a link to return to the site in order for the purchase to register and the cycle to complete.

To minimize the chances of missing out on a commission, we recommend that when you’re sharing your Affiliate link with your audience, tell them to use the same device and browser to shop and to click the link to return to the site after they buy to ensure you get the credit for the sale.

What if someone clicks more than one Affiliate’s link?

The first Affiliate whose link was clicked will get credit for the sale and earn the commission for 45 days after their link was clicked. After 45 days, if the customer clicks another Affiliate’s link, the second Affiliate will get the referral credit.

Will I be able to see the names of the customers who purchased using my Affiliate link?

No, for consumer privacy reasons, Affiliates are not able to view personally-identifiable information on the customers who make purchases using their links. Affiliates can view information on the number of visits generated from their link (and when those visits occurred), the number of referrals (sales) made using their link (and when those sales occurred), the status of their referrals (Pending, Unpaid, Paid or Rejected) and the total commission by status.

When a customer makes a purchase, the referral status is “Unpaid” until the commission is paid out. Referrals with a status of “Pending” had some issue with the processing of their transaction and will be updated to “Unpaid” when the problem is resolved. If a customer returns their order during the 30-day return period, the referral status will change from “Unpaid” to “Rejected.”

Do I keep my commission if the customer returns their order?

No, commissions are not paid if a customer returns an order.

Commissions are not eligible for payout until after the end of the allowable return period, so once you have received a commission payout, it’s yours to keep.

If I refer a new Affiliate to you, do I earn commission on their sales?

No, we only pay commission for direct referrals (customers who make a purchase using the link of one of our Affiliates).

We do not pay downline commissions or for referrals of new Affiliates.

How are commissions paid?

Commissions are paid via Paypal to the Paypal email address submitted with your Affiliate application.

We do not pay commissions via check, so if you want to be an Affiliate and do not have a Paypal account, you will need to set one up.

How do I terminate my membership in the Affiliate Program?

To leave the Affiliate Program, just contact us and let us know, and we will deactivate your account. You will receive payment for all referrals generated prior to when your account is deactivated according to our regular payout schedule, but will not receive payment for any sales generated by your link after your account has been deactivated.

Bulk Orders

Order the manufacturer’s minimum order quantity (MOQ) of one of our existing jewelry designs and we’ll give you an 18% discount off the regular retail price.

Sell the jewelry at whatever price you can get for it, and keep the proceeds for your organization! (You can sell the jewelry for more than our retail price, but you are not permitted to sell it for less.)

How It Works

Choose any jewelry piece you see on our website. Send us a message using the form below and let us know:

  • Which piece you are interested in
  • Your desired quantity (the MOQ varies by manufacturer based on various factors, including size, weight, materials and finishing, but is often 100 pieces)
  • Whether you want to pay by check or Paypal (if you want to pay via Paypal, an additional fee of 2.2% + $0.30 will be added to your invoice to cover transaction processing fees)

We will reply with the following information:

  • Confirmation that your desired quantity meets the MOQ for that particular piece
  • An invoice for your order showing pricing, shipping costs and an estimated delivery date (manufacturing and shipping time varies by piece– some pieces take 5-7 weeks)

Bulk Orders FAQ

What is your Return Policy for bulk orders?

Bulk orders are not returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect.

We recommend you place a regular order for the item you would like so you can see a sample before submitting a bulk order.

We will be happy to credit your bulk order invoice for the full merchandise total of a single-item sample order for the same piece, less any Affiliate commission paid (if applicable).

Why is payment in full required in advance on bulk orders?

Due to production and shipping costs, our manufacturers require advance payment in full to process bulk orders.

Why can’t I sell your jewelry for a price below your retail price?

We offer bulk orders at an 18% discount so organizations can raise funds for their activities.

In exchange for that discounted price, you must agree not to undersell us and all of our Affiliate Program members.

If you are not sure you can sell all of the items you are planning to order at bulk rates at the regular retail price, or are concerned about having excess inventory, we recommend you choose our Affiliate Program instead and place an order for a smaller quantity using your Affiliate link.

Do bulk orders include your custom packaging that comes with individual orders?

Yes, our custom packaging is part of our jewelry and our brand, so we include the custom individual packaging with bulk orders.

The individual pieces in your order may not be pre-packaged in the custom boxes, but we will include in your shipment enough boxes and packing material so you have one for each piece in your bulk order.

Can I get a sample of an item before placing a bulk order?

We highly recommend you order a sample of any item you are considering placing a bulk order for so you can see it in person before ordering in bulk.

We are unable to offer free samples for bulk orders, but will be happy to credit your bulk order invoice for the full merchandise total (less any Affiliate commission paid, if applicable) of a single-item sample order for the same piece.

Custom Jewelry

If you have an idea for a custom piece of jewelry, we will create a design just for you!

How It Works

  • The minimum order quantity for custom jewelry is one piece.
  • We provide a rough estimate of the price range of the materials and manufacturing options you are considering before any work begins; the cost for materials, manufacturing and shipping are quoted after your materials and manufacturing process choices are finalized.
  • Design time is billed at $100 per hour; the minimum design fee is $500 (materials, manufacturing and shipping are not included).
  • A $500 nonrefundable retainer, against which design work will be billed, is required before design work begins. If additional design time is needed, more can be added in $100 increments by submitting an additional nonrefundable retainer.
  • After your design is finalized, we will get a quote for manufacturing. If you want to find your own manufacturer, we will provide the CAD file so you can do that.
  • Total delivery time for design and manufacturing takes 7-9 weeks or more, depending on how long it takes for you to approve the design and how long the manufacturer needs to create it (manufacturing time varies by process and by manufacturer).
  • Design time and manufactured custom jewelry pieces are nonrefundable.

Custom Jewelry FAQ

Can I choose the metal/materials used in my design?

Yes, you can choose the metal/material you want from a list of options that will work with your design (not all metals/materials will work with all designs).

We will give you a list to pick from that includes as many options as possible.

Can I have someone else manufacture my jewelry?

Yes. When your design has been approved/finalized, you will receive a copy of the CAD file that you can take to another manufacturer to have your jewelry made if you wish.

Will I own the copyright to my custom jewelry design?

No. As with all other creative work like art, music and writing, we retain ownership of the copyright on all designs we create, but we will grant you an exclusive license to have the piece manufactured and sold for a period of 10 years.

How much does it cost to have a custom piece of jewelry designed?

Our minimum design fee is $500, but the total cost for a custom design depends on the number of design revisions needed to create a design you are happy with. Total cost for a custom design can range anywhere from $500-$2000 or more.

The best way to keep design costs to a minimum is to provide clear guidance on what you want, preferably by providing images of examples showing your desired treatment, texture, etc.

How much does it cost to have a custom jewelry piece manufactured?

The cost to manufacture a custom piece varies greatly depending on the metal/materials/finishing you select and the quantity ordered. A typical budget for a custom piece starts at around $1,200.

As soon as your design and materials/finishing decisions are finalized for your design, we will request a quote from the manufacturer for fabrication of your piece.

What is the deposit required for a custom jewelry piece?

To start the design process, we require a nonrefundable deposit of $500 against which design time will be billed. Additional nonrefundable deposits of $100 can be added if more design work is needed.

To commence manufacturing of a custom piece, payment in full in advance is required.

What is your Return Policy for custom jewelry?

Because custom jewelry is made to your specifications, manufactured pieces are not refundable.

Can I see a sample piece before my full order is manufactured to ensure it looks the way I want it to?

We carefully select our manufacturers to ensure they meet our strict quality standards, and we inspect every piece of jewelry before shipping it to you to make sure there are no flaws or defects in manufacturing.

If you want to see a sample before your full order is made, we may be able to arrange that (depending on the manufacturer), but you would need to adjust your expectations for final delivery accordingly (this can add 4 weeks or more to the final delivery of your order). You would also need to pay in advance for the cost to manufacture your sample and ship it here.

If you want to request a sample, please let us know during the design process so we can inquire about that and offer metal/material/finishing options that can be handled by a manufacturer who might allow for it.
